Web Design Specialist (Remote)

UPMC Community Care Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Web Design Specialist to support the Internet Strategy team within the IT Department! The Web Design Specialist will work standard hours, Monday through Friday, in a fully remote capacity! While this position is based in Downtown Pittsburgh at the Heinz 57 Center, this team has transitioned to working remotely indefinitely.

In this role, the Web Design Specialist will work closely with our experienced designers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to create accessible and intuitive features that will transform the future of behavioral healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities:
Participate in design sessions to generate creative ideas and concepts for new features.
Incorporate user research and user experience principles into the design process to ensure optimal usability and accessibility.
Take feedback from design team members and stakeholders to iteratively refine designs and deliver the best possible outcomes.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with other designers and business and technology stakeholders on multiple projects simultaneously.
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, web technologies, and industry developments to continuously enhance skill set.
Collaborate with senior designers to create engaging and intuitive layouts, components, and screen flows.
Covert wireframes to high-fidelity, pixel-perfect mockups.
Work with Scrum team to rapidly address development questions and concerns, and also participate in product testing and sign-offs.
Assist in the design and development of responsive and mobile-friendly pages that deliver seamless experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
Maintain web pages for all sites by ensuring that posted information is up-to-date by adding new documents and removing outdated materials.
Ensure that web pages are visually pleasing, and that navigation is easy and logical.
Develop applications as designed with supervisor and client.
Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, design, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Previous experience/knowledge in web design.
Proficiency with Adobe Create Suite (e.
g.
, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) strongly preferred.
Experience/familiarity with user interface (UI) design principles strongly preferred.
Experience/familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles is a plus.
Experience with accessibility design and standards (e.
g.
, WCAG) preferred.
Previous software design experience is a plus.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Previous healthcare, government, and/or nonprofit industry experience is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
